Biography

Pianist EGLĖ ANDREJEVAITĖ is active both as soloist and chamber musician. She made her debut in Graz Philharmonic (Austria) in 2012 with her piano-violin Duo (Jusionytė – Andrejevaite) and in 2013 Duo received a Special Jury Prize for the outstanding performance of contemporary composition (G. Gelgotas “Never Ignore the Cosmic Ocean”) at the prestigious International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition (Poertschach, Austria). In 2015 E. Andrejevaitė debuted as a soloist in the “Music Fest Perugia” festival (Italy) performing L. van Beethoven Piano Concerto op. 15 with The Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Alicante (Spain) under conducting of Mignea Ignat.

Being committed to the performance of the new music in 2015 E. Andrejevaite met one of the most prominent american living composers John Corigliano who shared his intended ideas working personally with Jusionytė – Andrejevaitė Duo on his prize-winning Sonata for Violin and Piano (New York). Eglė Andrejevaitė is also co-author of “Coco Chanel project” – dramatized modern music, fashion and lightning performance (composer Nailia Galiamova). E. Andrejevaitė was studying with professor Konrad Richter in Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts (Germany) and with the leading lithuanian concert pianist of today professor Mūza Rubackytė (Lithuania-France-Switzerland). She also has taken part in master classes and lessons with distinguished musicians including Per Lundberg, Chia Chou, Avedis Kouyoumdjian and others. E. Andrejevaitė is a founder of the piano studio “TonArt” – the first studio in Lithuania, where talented pianists of new generation share their passion for music with adults by teaching them piano.

E. Andrejevaitė was born in 1982 in Kaunas. In 2000 she graduated from J. Naujalis music gymnasium in Kaunas – piano class of teacher – expert Ligija Rinkevičienė.  She received her Artist Diploma at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in 2008. Since 1997 she is the recipient of numerous awards from various international piano competitions in Bucharest, Rome, Paris, Kiev and Vilnius.

The most important lesson of my own – people learn best through a positive experience! Lessons take place in Vilnius, Lithuania. I conduct lessons in Lithuanian, Russian, English and German languages.
